Sandcasting is an ancient, almost forgotten art. It is a time-consuming, delicate process that demands tremendous attention and skill to achieve the desired results.  In the hands of Rolfe Faust, an experienced craftsman who leads the art world in the creation of beautiful and unique bas-relief sandcast art, the results are always incredible.  His work reveals the fine detail of his sculptural talent. Artistically reproduced for use in your home or garden, these beautiful and unique sandcasted works of art will bring pleasure to all.  Each piece is handmade, using a hand-carved mold.  A gypsum cement mixture is poured into a negative sand impression, which gives it the sand surface.  It is then cured and sealed to withstand sun and weather.  Each cast comes with a molded-in eye for hanging.

Historically, Faust Sandcastings has been commissioned to produce large architectural custom artwork.  These can be seen in over 70 Great American Savings and Loan branches in San Diego, California and elsewhere throughout the state.  Other castings can be seen in Anthony’s restaurants, in over 30 Chart House restaurants around the United States and other business locations.
